Schroth street legal harness belts are unique in their ability to be installed to
factory provided mounting points along with the factory provided seat
belts. Schroth harness belts meet all certification requirements by the
German TÜV, ECE-R 16.04 and US-DOT FMVSS 209 for use on public roads.
Each belt comes with complete installation and operating instructions. If your
vehicle is listed in Schroth's Vehicle Reference List the installation has been
tested and approved with the stock seat or the listed aftermarket seats.
Unlike most other aftermarket harness belts, most Schroth street legal harness
belts have a unique disconnect feature between the front part of the harness and
the rear tail strap. When you are not using the Schroth street legal harness
belts, they can be stored out of the way allowing complete access for all
passengers and full use of all factory seat belts.
The patented Schroth asm system offers a unique safety advantage for 4-point
harnesses. asm® is the acronym for anti-submarining. The risk to
submarine (sliding underneath the lap belt) is a well known phenomenon during
frontal impacts and is significantly reduced by the asm® safety
system. The energy converter is located in the inboard shoulder
belt. Therefore, make sure you purchase left and/or right
harnesses. Severe injuries or death are possible using 4-point harnesses
without the Schroth asm® safety system or an anti-sub strap. The
performance of the Schroth asm® safety system has been positively tested in conjunction with airbags.

This picture shows the correct installation and use of Schroth Harnessbelts in a 1985-92 Golf 2. This car
body is one of Schroth's test chassis used to simulate head-on collisions at 50Km/h (31mph). Doors and other components not
required for the evaluation have been removed. The Driver is wearing a Rallye 3. The passenger is wearing a Rallye 4.
WARNING: Because of the Schroth asm® system,
there are different belts for the left and right side of the vehicle. They are not interchangeable!

asm autocontrol® II - A special inertia reel is what makes this
harnessbelt different. The Autocontrol provides the advantages of a shoulder
harnessbelt during performance driving, while offering freedom of movement during
normal driving conditions.
A remote motion sensor instantly locks the inertia reel when a force of about
0.5G in any direction is experienced. This means that during hard acceleration,
braking, or cornering, the motion sensor electrically locks the inertia reel,
holding you firmly in your seat.
Each autocontrol® II comes complete with: Harnessbelt, inertia reel, motion
sensor, wiring, all hardware, and comprehensive instruction manual.
Black belt has silver Schroth logo. All others have black Schroth logo.

Rallye 4 QuickFit asm®
 
Schroth's QuickFit® asm harness is the PERFECT harness for Drivers School,
Autocross, or just bombing around the countryside. Try it on a long trip,
we promise you won't get nearly as tired.
The QuickFit ® harness offers all of the proven benefits of the Schroth
Rallye series belts with the added benefit of easy installation and removal between
events. QuickFit® uses all available factory female receptacles with
factory original mounting buckles. Since Schroth uses the factory receptacles
with their belt, they can take advantage of several safety systems active in the car.
First is the lapbelt pretensioner. In the event of an impact, the pretensioner will
automatically tighten the lap belt another 1-2 inches significantly reducing the
chances of submarining. Second, if the car is equipped with a two stage
airbag system, the airbag will be deployed at the lower level.
Each QuickFit® belt is specific to a make and model of car and the belt must
never be sold or transferred to another vehicle of a different make or
model. Schroth's Rallye belts, including the QuickFit® do not in any
way effect the operation of your factory seat belt, unlike all other "street legal"
belts on the market today.
Fits all VW/Audi, except S4 2002 and later. BMW E36, E39 and E46 plus Mini and
Subaru WRX applications not listed but can be special ordered. Please call us at

Rallye 4 asm®
Four point mounting with 4 individual adjusters. Separation buckle allows for
rear seat access when harnessbelt is not in use. Twin tail strap attaches to
factory anchorpoints of rear seat lap belts. Use of this belt requires approved
seat types. The factory seats in all Mk 2, Mk 3, and Mk 4 Golf and Jetta, all
Corrado, and all Passat models are approved for this belt type. Other factory
seats are not approved for use with the Rallye 4.
Black belt available with silver or yellow Schroth logo. All other color belts have black Schroth logo.

Rallye 3 asm®
Three point mounting with 4 individual adjusters. A unique separation buckle
between shoulder and tail strap allows for free access to rear seats when harnessbelt
is not in use. Tail strap attaches to C-pillar of vehicle or to rear lap belt
anchorpoint when using approved seats. Mk 1 Cabriolet models require rear lap-belt
anchorpoint mounting and use of approved seat types. Call for further information
regarding these cars.
Black belt available with silver or yellow Schroth logo. All other color belts

Lockout Switch for asm autocontrol® Belts
Mounted at your side, this switch electrically locks and unlocks the inertia
reel on the Autocontrol Harnessbelt. When switched off, the Autocontrol will
function normally, locking automatically whenever the motion sensor is triggered.
With the flip of a switch, you can lock the reel in a fixed position. When the
reel is locked, the shoulder harnessbelt holds you firmly against your seat,
perfect for performance driving.
