Autotech Front Strut Spreader Tool for Mk4

This hex bit makes replacement of the front struts in a Mk4 VW hassle-free. Simply insert it into the slot just above the pinch bolt that holds the strut in the upright, then turn it 90° to spread the upright, allowing the strut to be removed/inserted. The bit stays in the slot while you work. Another 90° turn once the strut is back in place removes the bit so you can re-tighten the pinch bolt. A MUST-HAVE tool.

Deep Offset Box End Wrenches

These box end wrenches feature deep offset heads that allow it to fit into the recess at the top of the VW strut bearing. An Allen wrench (~7mm inhex) is used to keep the piston rod from rotating while tightening the top nut. 21mm is most common stock Mk2/Mk3 nut size. 22mm is most common aftermarket and early stock size.
