POLISHED REAR UPPER STRESSBAR, RABBIT/SCIROCCO/JETTA 1
The rear suspension of your Volkswagen pivots on only two pick-up points. The axle beam serves as a torsional component which twists under loading in corners or over bumps. Most of these stresses from the rear suspension are transmitted to the rear chassis of the vehicle. To help counter this problem, the rear stressbar bridges the gap between the two upper rear shock towers. Unlike its competitors, the Autotech Rear Stressbar will not severely reduce your car's ability to carry cargo. The so-called triangulated rear stressbars on the market take up a lot of valuable cargo space. We at Autotech feel that triangulation can be effective, but it must also be practical. Made of high quality 6061-T6 aluminum, this bar is light, strong, and aesthetically pleasing. Our unique center adjuster allows for easy installation and adjustment. This bar utilizes special, cast end pieces held to the upper shock towers by U bolts. Polished 6061-T6 aluminum. No drilling required.
