22mm SPORT MASTER CYLINDER
When upgrading your car's brake system, it may become necessary or desirable to upgrade your car's brake master cylinder as well. The large caliper-pistons used in big brake conversions need a bigger master cylinder to supply enough fluid. This is especially important when 4 wheel discs are on the car. Autotech offers a sport 22mm master cylinder. The result will be a firmer pedal, with reduced pedal travel. It is a direct fit on German built cars produced after 1/84. Earlier Mk1 chassis vehicles built in Germany will require the changing of the vacuum booster and fluid reservoir (sold below) as well. US-built Mk1 cars will require modification or replacement of the brake pedal linkage. Some cars are factory-equipped with a 22mm master cylinder. Consult our tech department for further information.
